Protection Engineer

** Urgently required for one of the largest contracting companies specialized in building power plants and Substations in KSA :

(( Protection Engineer ))

--Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, with a power background preferred.

-- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in substation protection & control engineering Systems.

-- Minimum ( 3 - 5 Years ) experience in similar position in the field of substation.

** Required Skills:

-- Strong knowledge of Protective Relay applications.

-- Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals.

-- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

-- Knowledge and understanding of three phase power systems.

-- Knowledge and understanding of substation components/equipment and their functions.

-- Knowledge of design documents and drawings necessary to complete a substation protection and control design project.

-- Knowledge of engineering standards including and SEC testing protocols.

-- Knowledge of common word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software.

-- Working in a team environment.

-- Communicating effectively with co-workers, vendors, clients, etc. bother verbally.

-- Should be able to read and understand protection drawings.

-- Should be able to handle control and protection modification works independently with a team of technicians.

-- Could manage work of Punch list clearance with client.

-- Should have knowledge of various protection schemes and tests in practice for functions protection and control design project and in writing with a team of technicians substations.
